LaTeX 2e macros

Here are a few LaTeX 2e files for producing copy for AMS (that's American Meteorological Society) and AGU. (I have one for Science too, but it's not very easy to use.)

AMS Meeting long abstract AMSabs.cls, AMSabs.readme, sample output (pdf) I hacked this from article.cls. Revised 4/16/02 If you are using BibTeX, you'll also need jas99.bst (1990 by Mike Moran at CSU) and jasbib.sty . If you would like your math in Helvetica, the package AMShelv.sty is provided by Arnold Moene at Wageningen University.

AGU Journals. The AGU provides a somewhat lame style file for the old 2.09 LaTeX version (does not support floats or BibTeX). A more powerful macro set (aguplus) using LaTeX 2e has been written by Patrick W. Daly and is available from the TAN archive . Here is documentation.

AMS Journal article ametsoc.cls , jasms.sty , jaspp.sty , ametsoc_sample.tex . I hacked these from aguplus (above--see documentation), to correspond to AMS journal format (though currently the author order is not right, which I haven't fixed yet). It's worked for me so far, but no guarantee or warrantee implied! Use is exactly same as aguplus, so title page info and floats are handled differently from standard LaTeX. You need the first file, plus the second (for manuscript form) and/or the third (for preprint form). Last is a sample document file. Revised 6/28/01

BibTeX users will also need ametsoc.bst.
